This Privacy Policy applies to JCC Prague (JCC Praha / JCC פראג), a non-profit organization located in Prague, Czech Republic (“JCC Prague”, “we”, “our”).

 

We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws.

We collect only the data that is necessary for our activities, including:

Payment details (processed securely via Stripe; JCC Prague does not store full card details)

  • Contract – when you register for an event or make a purchase/donation.

  • Legitimate interest – maintaining community engagement and service improvement.

We may share your personal data only with trusted third-party service providers:

  • Wix – website hosting

  • Stripe – payment processing

  • MailerLite – newsletter management

  • Google Analytics – website analytics

All providers comply with GDPR or equivalent safeguards. Data may be transferred outside the EU (e.g., to Israel or the USA) under valid transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

We never sell your personal data.

7. Data Retention

  • We retain your data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

  • Newsletter subscription data: until you unsubscribe

  • Event registration/payment data, donations, and invoices: 5 years (accounting and record-keeping requirement)

  • General inquiries: up to 2 years
    After this period, data is securely deleted or anonymized.

8. Your Rights under GDPR

You have the right to:
