ABOUT THE PROJECT
Fighting Antisemitism
Our community launched a dedicated task force to confront the rise of antisemitism across Europe. Since October 7, 2023, hostility has grown against Israelis, Jews connected to Israel, and Jewish institutions. In response, we chose action over silence and built a team committed to advocacy, dialogue, and cultural resilience.
This work is not only about protecting Jewish life. Antisemitism is a threat to civic values and democratic society as a whole. By addressing it, we strengthen the safety, tolerance, and dignity of everyone.

OUR MISSION
Why We Acted
The initiative began after attending the ICE - Israeli Community in Europe conference on antisemitism in Berlin, held just months into the war. Returning to Prague, we gathered volunteers who refused to let fear define Jewish life.
Our mission was clear: to restore a sense of safety, to counter violent narratives, and to demonstrate that standing together is the most powerful response.
What We’ve Achieved
In just over a year,
JCC Prague’s task force has:
5+ solidarity events
Including marches tributes to the Nova Festival victims and gatherings for the hostages
Cultural initiatives
Such as public Israeli dance sessions in Prague’s Old Town or the “Hineni” art exhibition to create dialogue between Czech and Israeli voices

Partnerships with friends

Report antisemitic incidents
A reporting system for antisemitic incidents across Prague and the Czech Republic, ensuring every case is documented and addressed.
