THE PROGRAM
Sunday School
JCC Sunday School provides an engaging and meaningful Hebrew learning experience for children aged 5 and up.
Since opening in September 2024, we welcome young learners into three small groups, thoughtfully organized by each child's Hebrew level - speaking, reading, and overall readiness. Placement follows a personalized assessment to ensure the best fit.
Our program nurtures Hebrew language skills, cultural connection, and community belonging in a warm, supportive environment.
ACTIVITIES
Our Classes
Classes are taught entirely in Hebrew and designed to feel like home.
Kids might start with a Hebrew alphabet song, move into group discussion, explore a holiday like Purim through art and games, or dive into phonics, reading, and writing at their own pace.
We also celebrate the Jewish calendar together with kid-led Seders, costume parties, apple & honey blessings, and much more.
The Approach
At our Sunday School, learning is designed to be fun, meaningful, and motivating.
We focus on creating an environment where kids look forward to coming each week. While methods vary across groups and teachers, all sessions are filled with play-based learning, creativity, and community spirit.
Our goal: that each child feels connected to Hebrew, to culture, to friends and to themselves.
