YOUNG COMMUNITY
Meet the Young JCC
The Young JCC (YJCC) was born in early 2024 in response to the devastating events of October 7th. What started as a group of friends who felt the need for a real sense of connection soon grew into an official community in collaboration with the JCC Prague team.
Today, YJCC is home to over 150 Hebrew-speaking young adults aged 18-35, a vibrant mix of students and young professionals. Around 40-50 people join most events, from Shabbat dinners to cultural programs. And we’re just getting started: expanding initiatives, strengthening belonging, and creating a welcoming home for every young Jew in Prague.
What we do together
What does life at YJCC look like? Think Shabbat dinners in a cozy restaurant with 50 friends, holiday celebrations that feel like back home, and deep conversations during memorial days. We host workshops, cultural talks, and social nights out. There are picnics in the park, collabs with student associations, even an Eurovision watch party. Two main events every month and spontaneous meetups in between.
