Israeli Community
in Prague
The Israeli community in Prague is home to 300 active members - families, professionals, students, and young individuals. It’s a space where new arrivals quickly feel part of something real.
In 2024, we welcomed over 30 new families, helping them find housing, schools, or even just someone to talk to. We're a warm, welcoming, and supportive network where people help each other settle and give a sense of belonging.
Whether someone is here for a year or a decade, they quickly discover: people show up for one another, again and again.
Activities together
Our community life is shaped by a wide range of events - some festive, others reflective. We celebrate Jewish holidays like Hanukkah, Passover, and Mimouna, organize Shabbat dinners, movie screenings, lectures, and family activities.
We also collaborate with other groups for special events, such as solidarity rallies, concerts, or joint cultural evenings with Czech participants. You don’t need to know anyone beforehand - just join and be part.
OPEN COMMUNITY
How we are different
Our community is built on strong personal connections and practical support. People help each other find housing, schools, doctors, or simply understand how things work in Prague. Much of this happens through direct communication - group chats, word of mouth, and personal introductions.
We maintain a secular, inclusive approach that welcomes everyone - individuals, couples, and families alike. We’re not defined by formality, but by a shared willingness to listen, respond, and stay connected.
