ABOUT THE PROJECT
October 7 Survivors Rehabilitation Program
In 2024, JCC Prague launched a program to bring small groups of survivors to Prague for a week of professional therapy and community support. The program was initiated by psychologist Linda Arbelí, together with Ofir Levi, program director, and a dedicated team of Israeli therapists: Dr. Eli Farache and Dr. Keren Eldan.
In close cooperation with the National Center for Trauma and Resilience at Tel Aviv University, the project offers survivors a space for healing, dignity, and hope.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Our Mission
We realized that true recovery could not begin while war still raged at home. Survivors who endured unimaginable hours in shelters or lost entire communities were left invisible and falling between the cracks of the system.
We felt a responsibility: if healing could not happen in Israel, then we would create a bridge abroad. By working hand-in-hand with leading clinics and researchers, we built a framework that combines therapy, group resilience, and warm encounters with our community.
What we achieved

2 Cycles Completed
Each cycle runs for 7 days with structured programming and 3 professional therapists. Participants engage in individual and group sessions. The next cycle is planned for Oct 2025.
Full Community Experience
Participants stayed with local host families for Shabbat and city activities, building meaningful connections with the Prague community.
Inspiring and Lasting Results
Participants left empowered with renewed confidence and hope for rebuilding their future. They continue therapy back home and maintain ongoing contact with Prague community.
